The summer season is here and the hot sunny days are making us all think going to the beach and relaxing in the sand with a cocktail or two. With rum being the perfect spirit for summer and Pirate’s Grog being the perfect rum for any occasion, we have decided to share with you some of our favourite summertime cocktails using, what else... Pirate’s Grog Five Year Rum.

We have organised these cocktails from the easiest, to the most difficult, but you can make whichever one you want and feel confident knowing that you will be mixing the perfect cocktail every time with Pirate’s Grog Rum.

Easy

Golden Pistol
Capitalising on the popularity of ginger beer, this is an easy summer cocktail
that not only tastes good, but it perfect for those sunny afternoon BBQ’s.
Ingredients:
4ml Ginger Ale
2ml Pirate's Grog Rum
Squeeze of Fresh Lime
Directions:
Combine ginger ale and Pirate's Grog Rum in a tall glass over ice, add a squeeze of lime and garnish with a lime wedge... Perfectly refreshing for a hot day.

Intermediate
Monkey Wrench
This cocktail is a little more involved as you will need to pick up a bottle of
bitters if you don’t already have one. No shaking or stirring required before
serving a Monkey Wrench as the rum, bitters and juice mix easily on their own.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ml Pirate's Grog Rum
4 ml Grapefruit Juice
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Maraschino Cherry (to garnish)
Directions:
Fill a tumbler with ice, combine the Pirate's Grog Rum, grapefruit juice and
Angostura Bitters. Shake or stir, garnish with the maraschino cherry and enjoy.

A Little More Difficult, But You Can Do It!
