Left behind are the long hazy days sipping rum and soaking up the festival magic of British Summer time. Although the pirates are struggling to succumb to this bitter London chill, they have plenty of Caribbean spirit left for the lead up for Christmas. (The bottled kind, too!)
Though the snow will definitely not be falling by the end of October, Pirate’s Grog will be starting off their winter exhibits at The Epicurean. Christmas definitely comes early with this event because there is unlimited free sampling of over 1000 products of the finest artisan food and drink, including the No.13, Black Ei8ht Coffee Rum and the 5 Year Original! A bazaar of deliciousness, this event will be great if you fancy a foodie day out or tackling your Christmas list early because cases and bottles will be readily available from all vendors. The event is on the 28-29 October and held at the Old Truman Brewery, East London. Read more and secure your place on The Epicurean website.
Pirate's Grog are certainly chasing this Dickensian Dockyard feel, as the following week the crew will be sailing on down to Portsmouth Christmas Market. With its stunning setting that is home to the HMS Victory, you'll be able to find the team amongst bespoke stalls, unique gifts and Victorian characters. Merrymaking is certainly predicted and as always, people are welcome to listen to the warm tales of Roatán and try the rum! Let's just hope that St. Nick doesn't get too tempted with the 5 year, wouldn't want the pirates to ruin Christmas 2016 with a hangover from the man himself... keep track of the event here.
The last events on the advent calendar include Paternoster Square and Sutton House. From the 13th to the 15th of December, the Pirates will be setting up stall in arguably the most majestic, iconic part of London: just between St. Pauls and the London Stock Exchange, you'll be able to find the crew in a beautiful wooden chalet nestled in the historic Paternoster Square. There will be quality drinks and products such as the enchanted treasure Gift Chest available to buy for your love ones. Plus, nothing suggests London Christmas perfection like a stroll across the Millennium Bridge, scarf snuggled, sipping on some sweet rum.
Finally, Homerton's stunning National Trust Tudor Manor, Sutton House will be home to Hackney's newest Christmas event. This will be open on every Saturday and Sunday throughout December, and the Pirates will be joining on the 3rd/4th and the 17th/19th. As usual, the City Showcase will host the finest entertainment, film previews and the most talented artisan vendors. This original, boutique Christmas experience will occur in the house's transformation into an immersive doll house of pantomime. Watch out for the Hackney Pirates, because they're behind ya!
