Spring is finally here, and with a busy event calendar looming we're on the hunt for some new crew members to come and enjoy the pirate life with us!
Our new event set up will be bigger, bolder and better than ever and is set to tour the country, attending more than 40 events including food and drinks shows, rum festivals, music festivals and a few international events! So if you think you've got what it takes to become a pirate read on....
1) Assistant Event Manager
To assist our fabulous Event Manager, Ferdi, this summer, with a hectic event schedule. The role will include building the event set-up and bar the day before the show opens and working on the bar or shop throughout the event, before helping with the pack down. Events are usually between 2 - 4 days (mainly Fri-Sun) with an extra half day to build, and pack down on Sunday evenings. Must have bar knowledge and a friendly manner, sales experience would be a big plus. Day Rate TBC.
2) Bar Staff / Bar Back
We have a lovely team of bartenders who know how to work hard and play hard, and we're looking to add a couple more to the crew. In particular, we're looking for cocktail trained staff who are happy to get stuck into back bar duties, keep the bar clean and tidy throughout the shift and take control of the clean and pack down at the end of the day. Hourly Rate TBC.
3) Brand Ambassador (with transport and prepared to travel the UK)
We're looking for someone who is happy to travel up and down the country and represent the Pirate's Grog brand and ethos to a tee (with training of course!) Working hours will generally be Saturdays with some extra travel days where required (travel time and petrol will be paid). As some events will be attended alone this role will be best suited to someone who is independent, dynamic and able to sell. Day Rate + Travel Time + Petrol TBC.
We'll be holding a training session next month, which will consist of excessive rum tasting and everything you need to know about Pirate's Grog. So if you're interested please email beth@piratesgrogrum.com with your preferred job role, your CV and a paragraph about yourself and why you'd like to become part of the crew.
