We're kicking off our spiced rum cocktail series with a twist on an old classic... The Mojito.
Originating from Havana, Cuba. The Mojito was discovered by a pirate and his crew on the lookout for a remedy for certain diseases. Knowing that South American Indians could create such a medicine, a handful went ashore to collect aguarediente de cana (rum), mint leaves, and the juices from sugar cane and limes to put together a tonic which turned out to be effective.
