80,000 Orders and Counting: Our Journey to 100,000

We recently discovered that Shopify sends out milestone awards when businesses reach certain order numbers.

Naturally, we wanted to know where ours was.
Unfortunately, there was a slight problem. We reached 10,000 orders too early to qualify for the award.

A little disappointing, but while investigating, we discovered something much more exciting.

We’ve now passed 80,000 orders through the Pirate’s Grog website.

And that number only represents orders placed directly through our own website.

It doesn’t include orders through Amazon, wholesale customers, bars, shops, events, or any of the other places you may have discovered a bottle of Pirate’s Grog over the years.

It’s simply more than 80,000 orders placed directly with our independent rum brand.

80,000 Orders Is a Big Milestone

When you’re focused on making rum, fulfilling orders and running a growing business, it can be easy to lose sight of the bigger picture.

But reaching more than 80,000 website orders is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Every order represents someone choosing Pirate’s Grog. Whether it was a bottle for yourself, a gift for someone else, or a return purchase after discovering your new favourite rum, every order has helped us get to this point.

For an independent rum brand, reaching 80,000 direct orders is a milestone worth celebrating.

And we couldn’t have done it without the people behind every single one of those orders.

The Road to 100,000

There’s another milestone now firmly in our sights.

We’re less than 20,000 orders away from reaching 100,000 orders through our website.

And this time, there’s an official Shopify milestone award waiting for us.

So while we may have missed out on the 10,000-order award, we’re looking forward to making sure we don’t miss the big one.

100,000 orders feels like a huge number. But looking back at how far Pirate’s Grog has come, it’s also a reminder of just how much support we’ve had along the way.

From our first online orders to more than 80,000 today, every customer has played a part in the journey.
