4 Christmas Cocktails to Bring a Little Pirate’s Grog to Your Festive Season

Here are four festive recipes featuring Pirate’s Grog.

1. Pistachio Snowcap

Coffee, chocolate and pistachio come together in this creamy, indulgent after-dinner cocktail. Think Christmas dessert, but with a little Pirate’s Grog in the mix.

Ingredients

• 25ml Pirate’s Grog Black 8 Coffee Rum

• 35ml Pirate’s Grog Dubai Chocolate Liqueur

• 50ml milk or oat milk

• 25ml cooled espresso

• Ice

• Crushed pistachios

• Chocolate shavings or cocoa dust, for garnish

Method

1. Add the Black 8 Coffee Rum, Dubai Chocolate Liqueur, milk or oat milk and cooled espresso to a cocktail shaker.

2. Add ice and shake until well chilled.

3. Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.

4. Finish with crushed pistachios and chocolate shavings or a light dusting of cocoa.

Serving suggestion:

Serve in a chilled coupe or martini glass, finished with plenty of crushed pistachios and chocolate. It's a lovely one to bring out after Christmas dinner.

2. Spiced Gingerbread Mule

Ingredients

• 50ml Pirate’s Grog Spiced Rum

• 100ml ginger beer

• 10ml fresh lime juice

• 10ml gingerbread syrup

• Ice

• Cinnamon stick

• Dried orange slice, for garnish

Method

1. Fill a tall glass with ice.

2. Add the Spiced Rum, fresh lime juice and gingerbread syrup.

3. Top with ginger beer and stir gently.

4. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and dried orange slice.

Serving suggestion:

3. Golden Sleigh Ride

Sweet honey, crisp apple and a little citrus come together in this easy festive serve. Light and refreshing, with just enough warmth to make it feel right at home at Christmas.

Ingredients

• 50ml Pirate’s Grog Honey Rum

• 100ml cloudy apple juice

• 10ml fresh lemon juice

• Splash of soda water

• Ice

• Apple slice

• Cinnamon stick or cinnamon dust, for garnish

Method

1. Fill a glass with ice.

2. Add the Honey Rum, cloudy apple juice and fresh lemon juice.

3. Stir gently to combine.

4. Top with a splash of soda water.

5. Garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick or a little cinnamon dust.

• 50ml Pirate’s Grog Wild Cherry Rum

• 75ml cranberry juice

• 75ml sparkling lemonade

• Squeeze of fresh lime juice

• Ice

• Rosemary sprig

• Fresh cranberries, for garnish

Method

1. Fill a glass with ice.

2. Add the Wild Cherry Rum, cranberry juice and a squeeze of fresh lime.

3. Top with sparkling lemonade.

4. Stir gently.

5. Garnish with a rosemary sprig and fresh cranberries.

Serving suggestion:
